At MARS, our mission is to advocate for safer alternatives to reusable solutions that may compromise:
Reusing pouches without proper sanitation can expose students to allergens like peanuts, eggs, and other substances, posing serious health risks.
Reusable Yondr pouches can inadvertently expose children to dangerous substances like fentanyl, as these pouches are shared among students without thorough cleaning protocols. Trace amounts of drugs left inside could pose serious health risks, especially given the potency of fentanyl, where even minimal exposure can be life-threatening.
In the wake of global health concerns, the potential for germ spread through shared items is higher than ever.
In situations like school emergencies or personal crises, immediate access to communication is crucial.
The pouches can be easily opened with inexpensive magnets, questioning the reliability of this solution.

As a parent of a child with severe allergies, the use of shared Yondr pouches in school is alarming. MARS gives me hope that we can find a better way.
